Steph Brown shares her fascinating experiences in Borneo. Followed by 2011 Review and AGM.
12th January EXTRA MEETING "Studio Lighting"
A teach-in by Steve Duncan LRPS. Learn how to use home studio lights. Steve demonstrates how to capture portraits. All types of lighting and accessories are discussed, including high-key, low-key and soft lighting. From beginners to experienced photographers. All are welcome. Bring along your SLR camera. A full day workshop is being planned at a later date.
19th January "Under the Tuscan Sky" by Ashley Franklin ARPS, APAGB.
The Val D'Orchia Valley, Mecca for photographers wishing to capture the essence of Tuscany.
2nd February "Bauer Photography Magazine Group".
The editor-in-chief, Andrew James, talks about the digital photo magazine production.
16th February "With a Little Help From My Friends" by Raymond Brammall ARPS, DPAGB.
A photographer for over thiry years, Ray has had his work exhibited throughout the UK in PAGB and other national and international exhibitions. Ray's presentation charts his transition from mono wet prints to digital printing.

15th March "Here There and Everywhere" by Peter Yeo FRPS, DPAGB, APAGB.
Peter, amongst other distinctions, is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, and is a very well-known photographer. This talk includes images of a trans-sexual professional model, a Hastings fishing boat and the Great Wall of China. Varied indeed!
29th March "Season Scenes" by Liz and Barrie Hatten
In this, their latest lecture, the first part is entitled "Spitsbergeb in Spring". It begins with the flowers and wildlife to be found around Longyearbyen, the island's capital. Then to the sea and north to the pack-ice in search of walrus and polar bear, and southwards into the great fjords of Spitsbergen's west coast. After the break, we go to the Candian Rockies in the fall. This was a fortnight of dawn-to-dusk photography in pursuit of landscapes and wildlife.

26th April "Cuban Holiday" by our own Steph Perkins
Steph takes us on a visit to this most exciting of countries. Followed by members' AV's/Digital images/prints.
10th May "My Photography - Fine Art or Creative Expression" by Jim Hartje ARPS, DPAGB, APAGB, EFIAP. Jim will be showing us past, present and future images before and after they have been run through a variety of processes on a computer.
31st May Three-On-A-Theme competition. Judge - Alan Davey
All three images connected by a mutual themed subject. Digital images and prints. (See General Rules)
Also: In The Garden competition
Images of Flowers, insects or plants. Try and take and image that is a little different from a full-on-view of the subject. Maximum of three digital images.
7th June "How to Judge or not to Judge"
A recorded lecture by John Wigmore FRPS. An opportunity to find out what the judge is looking for in marking images. That will be interesting!
