Our friendly in-Group competitions are held for the sole purpose of encouraging new work and improving our standard. Entries may be home or trade processed and all paid-up members may enter. Whether you are an experienced photographer or new to the hobby, why not join us and have a go!

Club  Competitions

Competition Submission Dates 2012

Entries for 1st Aggregate Club Competion  -  Sunday 8th April              
Entries for Three-on-a-Theme Competion  -  Sunday 27th May           
Entries for Nature Competition                       -  Sunday 14th Oct        
Entries for final Aggregate Competition       -  Sunday 25th Nov          

                                        General Rules for Competitions

1. All Members may entre their own work
2. Entries may be home or trade processed
3. Entries shall not be more than three years old
4. Prints or digital images entrered in a competition may not be entered in a subsequesnt year in the     
    same catagory
5. PRINTS should be mounted om subtantial board not larger than 20"x16" or smaller tyhan 10"x8"
6. PRINTS must have the TITLE and NAME on the reverse side at the top

                                                                   Digital Images

1. Digital images for projection must be resized to width 1024 pixels x height 768 pixels. Save as file  
    name TITLE by AUTHOR in JPG, maximum quality. Label 1 to 5 (5 being the reserve).
2. For portrait (upright) images: set the height to 768 pixels in JPG format. The filename should read    
    ie. Author TITLE. jpg
3. For landscape images: set the width to 1024 and allow the height to be set itself in proportion.
4. Use 'save as' option to save a new version of your image. Select the highest possible JPEG quality   
    option (12). Entre the filename: ie. Author TITLE.jpg. Most programmes will add the jpg. extention  
    automatically.
5. Send on memory stick or CD, or email directly to: pinchbeckphoto@googlemail.com
